​The Hero’s Heart Foundation is seeking four (4) talented and conscientious volunteers to join its Board of Directors. We are looking for leaders that will help strengthen the support given to First Responders and Veterans through outstanding non-profits in the National Capital Region.


Directors will help run regular events, raise funding, increase our visibility, and expand our geographic reach so we truly can highlight charities working with First Responders and Veterans.


The Hero’s Heart Foundation is seeking engaged and committed individuals that can help transform the organization into a sustainable one that is trusted in the community.

​There are currently four open positions:

  • Board Member – Treasurer

  • Board Members (3)


​Board Member Expectations

​Board members are expected to advocate for the Foundation’s mission, to make decisions that are in the best interest of the organization, to ensure prudent use of assets, and to help plan for the future. ​

  • Participate in at least 1 committee (to be determined at Board Retreat)

  • Attend our annual Board Retreat

  • Attend the Annual General Meeting (November)

  • Do not miss any more than 2 consecutive board meetings without cause (approximately 4 meetings per year (including working meetings and proper board meetings)

  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner

  • “Speak with one voice” once board decisions have been made
